Before and After: From a Plain Lawn to Personal Nature-forward Space
Before
Our client came to us with a strong love for the outdoors—gardening, hiking, walking, skiing—you name it. They enjoy growing vegetables, tending to potted plants, and dreaming up seasonal color with annuals and perennials. But their yard? It didn’t match that energy.
Here’s what wasn’t working:
❌ Overgrown ivy creeping in where it wasn’t welcome
❌ A lawn that felt like more chore than charm
❌ An exposed entryway lacking privacy
❌ No clear, welcoming path from driveway to front door
❌ A disconnect between their love of nature and the feel of the space
They wanted something that worked better with their lifestyle: low-maintenance, lush, and rooted in Pacific Northwest beauty.
After
We reimagined their front yard into a space that truly reflects who they are and how they live. Here's what we designed and built:
✅ Ivy removed and replaced with purposeful plantings like woody shrubs, fruit trees, and native perennials for texture and seasonal color
✅ A new entry pathway made from natural stone or pavers—easy to sweep or blow clean, and beautiful year-round
✅ Privacy screening between the driveway and entry using layered plantings and structural greens
✅ Lawn replaced with planting beds and functional hardscape, reducing maintenance and maximizing enjoyment
✅ The existing fir and maple trees now anchor the space and blend seamlessly into the new design
This transformation didn’t just improve curb appeal—it gave our client a place to walk, plant, relax, and reconnect with nature daily.
